What Personal Data Do You Collect?

• Date of birth (to confirm you are 18 or over, as required by the Sunbeds (Regulation) Act 2010)
• Health and skin information provided on our new customer sign-up form
• Payment and purchase information relating to courses, minutes and products
• CCTV footage recorded at our studios
• Any other information you give us when contacting us, in person, by phone or by email

How Do You Use My Personal Data?

We will only use your personal data where the law allows us to, most commonly where:

• You have given consent
• It is necessary for a contract we have with you (e.g. a tanning course)
• It is necessary to comply with a legal obligation (e.g. age verification)
• It is necessary for our legitimate interests (e.g. running our studios safely)

We use your personal data to:

• Assess your suitability for safe sunbed use
• Manage your account, courses and minutes across both studios
• Contact you about your bookings or account
• Maintain the safety and security of our studios via CCTV
• Send you offers or marketing where you have opted in — you can opt out at any time

How Long Will You Keep My Personal Data?

We will not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary. How long we retain it depends on the type of data and the purpose for which we collected it — for example, account and course information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. CCTV footage is kept for a limited period before being automatically deleted, unless needed for an ongoing investigation.

How and Where Do You Store or Transfer My Personal Data?

We only store and transfer your personal data within the UK. Your data is protected under the UK GDPR. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure, including password-protecting our electronic systems and securely destroying physical records when no longer needed.

Do You Share My Personal Data?

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share limited data with trusted service providers who help us run our business (such as payment processors), who are only permitted to use it for that purpose. We may also share your data where required by law, for example with the police, where a crime has taken place.

How Can I Access My Personal Data?

If you want to know what personal data we hold about you, you can ask us for a copy (a “subject access request”). Requests should be made in writing to the contact details below. We will respond within one month, though this may be extended by up to two further months for particularly complex or numerous requests. There is normally no charge for this.
